Antistatic products or ESD products protect electronic products by inhibiting electrostatic discharges. Static electricity surges or discharges can cause damage to electronic components such as computer equipment and mobile devices.
There are three types of materials for the manufacture of anti-static products and ESD packaging: disipative products, usually pink in colour, made of polyethylene, which allow a slow and safe dissipation of electrostatic charges; shielding ESD products, silver in colour, composed of metallic layers of aluminium that create a barrier to prevent discharges. Finally, Conductive products, black in colour, are made of highly conductive materials such as carbon for rapid dissipation of electrostatic charges and avoidance of dangerous build-up.
By completely covering your products with ESD film, ESD foam or ESD bags, you will generate a complete protection against any kind of electromagnetic wave, by means of the Faraday effect.
